Hardest part of the procedure: The anticipation. I had trouble sleeping the night before. I didn’t have any pain whatsoever during the procedure.
Would you do it again? Oh my God, Yes!
Biggest change in life afterwards: I've worn glasses my whole life and I still can't believe that when I get up from bed that I can see the clock. It has affected my life in every way - from waking up and seeing the clock, to watching TV, to playing with my daughter and to seeing clearly in the shower.
Comments: I have the utmost respect for Dr. Kung. I was referred to see him by another eye doctor and now I work for him. I see how he treats patients day in and day out. I also see how happy patients are after the procedure. This gave me the confidence to have him operate on my eyes and I'm glad that I did! I can't stop talking to everyone about my experience. Before the laser, I couldn't recognize people who walked past me without my glasses or contacts on. Imagine being able to drive the very next day after the laser to go to work without glasses. It truly is a miracle!

Hardest part of the procedure: Deciding to do it. I was scared before I had it done, especially since several people told me not to do it – including another eye surgeon and my cousin who is an optician. The procedure was a piece of cake. There was no pain at all. I even went out to eat at Red Lobster afterwards.
Would you do it again? YES!
Biggest change in life afterwards: It’s so easy to get ready in the morning now. I don’t have to struggle to get my contact lenses in now and my countertop isn’t cluttered with all my contact lens stuff.
Comments: It was a great experience! I can’t believe how easy it was. I’ve worked for different eye surgeons throughout my career and when I saw how happy patients were with Dr. Kung, it gave me great confidence. I also had a good friend who was thrilled with her results by Dr. Kung so I had it done right after her. I couldn’t believe that I was able to drive myself to work without contact lenses the very next day.

Hardest part of the procedure: Finding a good time to do it. I’m extremely busy with my work and it was hard to find a convenient time. My parents thought it was risky which made me put it off even more. Once I decided to have it done, it was really easy. There was no pain at all during the procedure. Would you do it again? In a heart beat. Dr. Kung and his staff made the whole process so easy. He was so compassionate and thorough that I couldn’t help but have confidence in him. I would travel any distance to have him do my procedure!
Biggest change in life afterwards: I’m a deep sea diver and I can’t believe how clearly I can see underwater now. I know that I can see even better than I did before when I had prescription face mask.
Comments: I still go to Dr. Kung for my annual eye exams and I’m comforted to know that my vision hasn’t changed at all over the past several years. I can still see at least 130 feet underwater. That’s a big difference compared to when I once swam right up to a barracuda before the procedure because I couldn’t see it clearly enough!
